Long synopsis:

In 2018 a plethora of discussion and research has been aimed towards the topic of mental health and personality disorders; anxiety and depression featuring as the main focus of conversation. However, one of these disorders, albeit in a different psychological cluster is ‘Anti-Social Personality Disorder’, more commonly known as ‘Sociopathy’. It is not only talked about less but the details of it are far less known by the majority of people with many misconceptions and misassumptions made as to the commonality and severity necessary to constitute a sociopath. The main issue being that a large proportion of the population believe it to be the same as or equal to psychopathy with the terms being loosely used in society for both things over many years. However similar, there are important distinctions to be made between the portrayal of both psychopaths and sociopaths in films, TV and the media in general. Sociopaths are much better at not only going undetected but also at carrying on with life regardless. In the book ‘Confessions of a Sociopath’ M.E Thomas explores and explains the way she thinks in a way that is truly captivating, interesting and shocking. Many people have a will read this book and realise by the end of it that you are more sociopathic than you think. Or you could just think they’re heartless monsters. Either one really.

With such brilliant content on the page it is only time for this to be bought up to date and to follow the audio trends of 2018 allowing for a soundscapes and dramatised audiobook that not only brings the story to life but also makes it more accessible to any desired audience.

In order to create a sense of difference and oddity, the audio book uses methods of audio manipulation, and variance in order to play with the listener’s expectations and experiences whilst delivering a truly amazing and eye-opening tale of a charismatic and successful real life sociopath.
